We also are having trouble with our dryer leaking. I love the washer its great and the dryer does a nice job but we have confirmed it is not our plumbing. I have been on the phone three times now and the last person I got was just flat-out unhelpful and though I asked to leave a review after the call I was mysteriously hung up on so here I am leaving a review. I called Tuesday and finally pried a service call out of the person on the phone who asked me to repeat all the information he later he confirmed he already had and then insisted I needed to go behind the washer which as a 52 120 pound woman I could not do given where it is installed.. He sighed and said he would send it up to get a service call. The only and I mean only place that services LG where we live has yet to hear from them. They also come out once a week on Tuesday so if the referral isnt made by then were looking at a whole other week before it can be addressed. We had the wash tower installed on November 7...

Let start by saying that my experience ordering on the website been horrible: 1. When I placed the order the availability in stock and I was supposed to get it in a week that sounds good correct? But no I received the order almost a month and a week after. That is misleading information so you purchased the product. Not a good practice. 2. On top of the delay the installation was supposed to be free no the shipping company that did the delivery brought the wrong cable so I need it to go out and get a cable and installed it myself. Not good also. 3. When I went to get the cable guess what the washer was cheaper at the store. 4. I diside to call them to see if they can help me with a discount to cover at least the cost of the cable and installation they said we apologize and make me spend two or three days on the phone but nothing. I will not recommend this company at all . 4. When I saw the product the first time it has $800 rebate but by the time I got the washer of course they took it off the website. 5. So far the product seems to be working fine. 6. The problem is that their products look so nice and well made that I make you buy them. But if they dont correct the delivery time they will be having a lot of unhappy customers like me.

I purchased this Laundry Tower to replace an older stacked W/D. The intended space is tight but this unit fits fine. I also was intrigued with the ventless dryer. The current venting had a number of twists and turns and alway concerned me with blockage. Generally I am content with the purchase. Washing features work well. Dryer takes a little longer than prior machine but is bearable. The set-up manual was a little confusing and a hose was missing. The dryer requires a drain line. I had to watch a couple YouTube videos to figure that out and then purchase a drain line. Frankly my delivery guys may have tossed it OR it was not included. Sales staff were trying to be helpful but lacked product training.

We purchased our LG washtower at Home Depot and they installed. The dryer pours gallons of water onto the floor during use. Gallons. Flooded the floor of our laundry room. HD sent someone back to inspect the installation and they told me it was properly installed and I needed to get an LG specialist out to take a look. LG specialist said it was not properly installed and that it needed a separate hose and the part is not available. Told me to call HD again. After hours on the phone with HD they say the machine is faulty and that I need another one but there havent been any available for the past 2 weeks. We are a family of four who is unable to do laundry at home and it is unpleasant. We are expecting a replacement in 4 days and I am keeping my fingers crossed. I feel like a need a refund on the purchase price as it has been a major inconvenience.

This machine was the perfect update from my 2008 Amana pair which I purchased new then. The Ventless feature makes it fit in the space with out awkwardness of having to line up with existing openings The laundry has been clean and dry with each use. I regularly wash Items like Victorian coats and shirts as well as large robes and tunics. it handles the chore with ease.

This was delivered on Monday after waiting for two months first load of laundry in washer and dryer were great except for the large puddle of water on the floor. Seems the delivery and installation people did not tighten the water hoses properly. Hopefully the great performance on the units will continue

The unit itself is quiet stately and takes up way less room room than the Amna Pair it replaced I have only had this unit up and running for about 3 weeks It works very well the ventless feature is amazing compared to the old style of ventless dryer. The many onboard features in the wash and dryer settings are quite useful I clean an abundance of modern Victorian and Tudor style garments The washer seems to be better at balancing a load than the 20 year old Amma did Installation was not smooth the big box store installer were just movers even with the extra pages of instructions taped strategically to the unit it was epic. I asked them to leave after the surprise shorting of the fuse of laundry wall called an electrician and had the machine up and running by the end or delivery week.

We are well pleased with this washer /dryer It is so quiet and after reading the handbook easy to use One concern we do have is that some of the weights and suggested length of drying are not right. Our second load was for two large beach towels and a smaller beach towel. The dryer weighted and suggested 3 hours and 20 minutes I couldnt believe this I tried the independent time set for 2 hours. They certainly were dry in the two hours. The next time we use it for a large load I am going to time it for one hour....that should be plenty of time to dry 3 towels. If not I will have learned something and try for 1.5 hours. I am not using the suggested time feature. I am making decisions on length of time from my past history of drying clothes. I am 74 years old.....Ive had some long experience using a washer/dryer.

The unit arrive a few weeks ago and Im pretty happy with it. The dryer being heat pump was my main concern but it gets plenty hot and honestly I usually start it drying before I go to bed and so even the long dry time with the Energy Saver mode is fine by me. Im also impressed by the size. Both the washer and dryer are huge. The logistic/delivery/setup company LG used was also top-notch. They took great care to not damage my home or my new WashTower. I am a little disappointed by the lack of front panel cycle selections on the washing machine though. My old machine had a cycle for towels for example right on the wheel. On this machine cycles that dont have buttons on the panel can be loaded as the Downloaded cycle in the LG ThinQ app but the machine overrides the previously downloaded one with the new one. Thats a bummer. It wouldve been better to let me do an initial app-based selection of the cycles I care about then let me scroll a list on the control panel. Another couple enhancements I could suggest: 1 Let me save a default for a cycle. For example on the dryer Id like it to default to Energy Saver. For the Towels cycle on the washer I always want to use hot water. 2 The chime volume should be selectable at least in the app. I havent found where to set it in the app and from the front panel you can only mute the chimes entirely. I paid the retail price for the unit it was on sale. This review is my own opinion even though Im also entering the sweepstakes.

We like the Wash tower it does a great job it fits our 2nd laundry space perfectly and takes up less space than the conventional stackable we were looking at. They only problem we have is the that delay start feature can only be used from the remote start Thinq app and not from the control panel same true for some of the other specialty wash cycles minor inconvenience other than that we love it. PS - the remote start function is fairly easy to use.

What I like about this stack: -Controls are in the middle and fairly understandable read the manual though -The app is handy for notifications and remote start -The heat pump dryer is very efficient and requires no vent If youre looking for throughput though this might not be for you. Drying on the efficient setting can take 2+ hrs but thats fine for me.

The delivery people came and told me that COSTCO would not install a laundry dryer that requires a side vent. He called his superiors and let me talk to them. It is true---no side vent installations. After they left I called a different office at COSTCO and was told Costco does not permit a side vented dryer. I would have paid extra but that was not an option.

I remodeled my basement and was told that LG had a full size Washtower with a ventless dryer. I decided to invest in this Washtower and save on thousands of dollars to make a vent to the outside. I read the reviews on this type of dryer and wasnt sure what to expect. Most said the drying time is longer. Well I am here to say I disagree The washer gets my clothes really clean And the dryer dries everything better than my Vented washer/dryer in the upstairs part of my house. I can wash everything from blankets/comforters towels to delicates and get them all super clean. Then the dryer gets everything perfectly dry. I love the ThinQ capability. It tells me when my wash cycle is completed dryer is done and when to do a tube clean. I can also keep track of the status of the wash or dryer loads. This is especially helpful since I work from home and like to keep the laundry moving along and the ThinQ lets me do just that. The controls are in the middle of the washtower easy to access and easy to see with the words and pictures. It is a beautiful machine that allows me to get a lot of laundry done in a short of amount of time especially when there are 2 adults and 6 childrens clothes and towels to wash on a daily and weekly basis. Cuts down on the amount of laundry that I have to do since it has a large capacity washer/dryer. The best part of all is that it quietly gets the job done. I hardly know it is there. I recommend this product highly and am so glad I invested in it It was definitely worth it

Beware of Incorrect Installation

This is not a review so much as a warning to all potential buyers. Installation crews do not know how to install the condensation drainage hose If you read recent reviews on this site Home Depots website and my own experience here purchased from PC Richard and had to exchange twice due to faulty installs before I learned what the issue really was you will see that many of these units are leaking. They are leaking during the dry cycle and not because of any issue with the machine. Installation crews are connecting the dryers condensation drainage hose to a random piece of plastic that looks sort of like a drainage port but the actual condensation drainage port is hidden behind a breakaway panel directly above the cold water input. If you buy this unit or have been experiencing leaking during the dry cycle please verify that your drainage hose is connected to the condensation drainage port. PC Richard exchanged the unit twice because no one knew why it was leaking. Only then did I get behind the unit myself and compare the setup to the installation guide. LG reach out to your authorized retailers and let them know what the deal is. A lot of money is being lost time wasted and stress built up because something about the installation is not intuitive to so-called professional installation crews at big box stores.

Convenient as all get-out Quiet convenient - we installed in our master walk in closet - wish I had done that years ago. We are now remodeling a new home and have this same unit being installed. We are SOOO happy with this washer dryer set. We needed a ventless dryer for our new house and I was a bit skeptical about any brand/model after reading reviews of these things not specifically LG not drying effectively. But HOLY COW I didnt know you could love an appliance. Granted were coming from no laundry - taking things to our nearest laundromat so this is a huge improvement but this unit is amazing and dries quickly and even provides some air conditioning to the room ha It looks beautiful too and makes fun melodies when the cycle is complete. And on top of all that its extremely efficient and cheap and better for the earth

We had a very old tiny washer and dryer in our condo from 2006. When we bought the unit the first thing we did was buy this washer dryer tower. Its full sized and very quiet. We moved our laundry from our basement to the 2nd floor bathroom and after only a week were super happy we made the change. Instead of 8 loads on a weekend we do a load every day or so which has really changed how we think about laundry. Also moving it into a bathroom we no longer dump laundry on the laundry room floor to separate for loads were looking into a 4 bin hamper to separate laundry before we ever get it into that bathroom. I find were doing smaller loads more frequently and rarely having dirty clothes sitting around for more than a day or so. The convenience is fantastic. What weve noticed so far: The washer is freaky fast but the spin cycle feels like a jet engine spooling up. Sitting at our island on the first floor we can feel the subtle vibration from the spin cycle. The unit isnt moving around its just really aggressive spin cycle and because of that we wont run a load at night before going to bed. Loads in the washer take anywhere from 25 to 55 minutes depending on size and settings. The dryer initially left clothes damp until we tried the very dry setting and now our clothes come out 100 as dry as they did with our conventional dryer. The dryer is pretty quiet but loads take from 1.5 to 3 hours to fully dry. Because were doing loads near daily we dont care how long it takes. We switch things over before going to bed and wake up to dry clothes. Humidity is definitely escaping into the bathroom during the wash/dry cycles so I try to turn on the bathroom vent fan while theyre running and that helps. In the winter Ill leave the bathroom door open and enjoy the free humidity during the cold dry months. First unit arrived damaged xpo didnt strap it down in the truck and it tipped but LG shipped a second unit 4 days later and it arrived in perfect condition. The delivery guys were super nice but the first crew was in over their head. They had never installed an appliance and after they damaged it they literally left it sitting in the hall outside of the bathroom and just left. For 4 days we couldnt even get into that bathroom because of the damaged unit was sitting in front of the door. It was odd but LG and XPO made it right with the second crew. The second crew had never installed a heat pump dryer so the idea of 2 drain hoses was foreign to them. I ended up having to connect up the second hose myself. The installers came with plastic not stainless steel hoses and the installers asked if I had stainless steel I did and we used those instead. Their electrical cord was only a few feet long but thankfully I had a 6 foot cord to reach from the top of the unit to my plug just above floor level. If you have tight spaces or stairs have the delivery guys separate the 2 units before trying to move it. Its a total of 9 screws and 2 electrical plugs. Takes 2 minutes to separate them and that made moving the unit up our stairs manageable. The instructions for disassembly are in the manual that comes with the unit. Its not hard. Would I buy it again? Yes. Would I have XPO deliver it? Yes but only because I now know to look for damage to the box before it even gets off their truck and I know how to separate the units making installation manageable. Buy your own stainless steel hoses and dryer power cord. The stuff they bring is inadequate We would definitely buy it again and so far were happy. Clothes are clean 100 dry and I no longer have to go down 39 steps to get to the laundry. =

Im an energy efficiency nerd so when our ancient washer gas dryer started to fail I wanted to electrify and get a high efficiency heat-pump model. This Washtower was a bit of a splurge but as a stacked tower with full size ventless dryer its literally in a class of its own. According to the LG app drying a full load takes less than 1.5 kWh 2-3x more efficient than a many other models. In eco mode the drying cycle can be 2.5-3 hours but I think of it like bbq: low and slow is the way to go Delivery through XPO logistics was fine but my advice is to buy your own power cord and pump hoses ahead of time as the delivery folks may forget to bring them.

Bought this for my new apartment that does not have a vent for dryers- has worked perfectly so far no complaints. Dry time is long 75-90 minutes depending on load size but this is the case for every ventless dryer. However since this is a full size machine I only need to do one load per week as opposed to 3-4 with a compact unit the capacity cant be beat. The self-cleaning condenser is very appreciated too. The washer is very fast and all the smart features are nice too and the machine looks beautiful

I had read about the washtower earlier this year. I had heard that a heat pump dryer was very energy efficient and I was relocating the tower to a main floor closet and I wouldnt need to vent the dryer. I had to wait a couple of months for the tower to become available and it was worth the wait. It does take longer for clothes to dry but I knew that before purchasing. I have only had it for a short time but am very pleased with it. It has quite a few wash and drying options.

We chose this for ecological as much as economic reasons. The energy usage is very low. In our unventilated laundry / mechanical room it does not add very much heat when compared to the ancient unit it replaced. It is slow to dry. If you cannot handle this fact there are less energy efficient dryers that can get your done faster. It is a choice. The double filter in the dryer is doing its job so far despite 3 kids 3 dogs and a cat fighting against it. Only time will tell. I will absolutely echo what another reviewer said about XPO logistics. Absolutely horrible experience. Forgot all the hookup hoses and such to complete the installation but didnt figure that out until the old W/D had been removed with cords and hoses cut to save time. The earliest they could come back out with hoses was almost 2 weeks later. Basically told that it wasnt XPOs fault because it was a sub-contractor to XPO that messed up. So a week before christmas we had a 400lb brick and no W/D until new years. XPO has no customer service that you can actually get resolution from period. Get it from a retailer who is responsible to their customers if at all possible. Wound up getting new hoses and power cord and setting it up myself because I simply wont let XPO or their subs onto my property.

This ventless dryer is perfect for retrofit or urban installations where there is no exhaust vent. Unlike smaller units this actively condenses moisture using a compressor think an A/C where the hot side warms the air and the cool side condenses the moisture out of the air and drains it off. This unit replaced a competing American-made compressor model that had some significant design flaws and performance issues. The LG has a 3-in-1 lint filter which is far better than 2 separate lint filters found in my old unit. This unit is solid cleans extremely well has reasonable drying times and is far more energy efficient than a vented version. Some things to consider: The ventless dryer always will take longer to dry than a vented version however it is far more energy efficient and will do less damage to your clothing. While this is an all-in-one unit that shares a control panel the 2 halves can actually separate if you needed to replace or service either the washer or dryer. There are many maybe too many options but even just using the basic normal cycles leads to great results. Some options such as spin-only are only accessible through the app which is not so convenient. My only watch out is that the fulfillment by XPO Logistics was terrible. Everything possible went wrong including the lack of installation delays missing documentation and terrible customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend this unit but but if XPO is the delivery partner you may want to buy it elsewhere.
