There is a lot of space in this microwave, the functions are great but I don't use them all because I don't need to but it's nice that they are there. The only complaint would be that it's over top of my Whirlpool stove and I worry about the steam that rises from the stove and hits the microwave but I am sure it's nothing to be bothered about. I love this microwave and would recommend to family and friends!

I'd say I'm a seasoned pro when it comes to using the the old "science machine". And one thing I can't stand is a busy panel when all I want to do is nuke last night's dinner for a minute or two. So I appreciate the simplicity of my Whirlpool and couldn't be happier. Conveniently, my parents also use the same model as mine and had the exact same feedback. So take it from a whirlpool family. The microwave is sleek and a great addition to the kitchen. The door opens well and have not had any issues, though with limited use to date. Only complaint would be that the quick preset options could be more clear or come with instructions so that it would actually be more efficient. This microwave replaced a 16 year old 1.7 cu ft Whirlpool with similar features but in black. The microwave looks sleek and the bright blue display is nice. The microwave is 1" higher than my old one, the fan is 80 CFM stronger and the filters are placed in different areas. The fan is okay, but could be stronger. I think the unit could be made smaller. It is easy to operate (I generally re-heat and do not use pre-sets) and on sale, it is excellent value. The lighting could be better positioned to illuminate the cooktop and the keypad shows every fingerprint (as does the SS finish). I just hope it lasts. Aren't we all wondering why newer appliances don't?

Useless to use as Range hood micro

For my new house builder fixed all appliances from whirlpool. They put this microwave as my range hood. But unfortunately the efficiency of motor is not enough to suck this smoke and it going all over my house. I informed whirlpool and they sent a technician to check. But he said it's working fine. I just show him the smoke going out of the fan and please explain to his company. He told he will send the report. I spent a lot money to fix these appliances but from whirlpool didn't take any action yet. So I ordered another range hood without micro. So be aware when you buy this product.
