A pleasure to look at, very pleased with fit and finish of the appliance. That™™s about where it ends. It has become an expensive microwave for us. Screen freezes often, requiring a reset at the breaker panel. Oven cooks unevenly, it™™s been a huge disappointment performance wise.

The other 4 features of the 5 in 1, not so much. First off is the safety concern of the door temperature. The door opens 50" above the floor, so anyone not tall will run the risk of burning their arms. 2nd issue is cleaning it, requires a step-ladder, again because it's so high. (I'm 5.7). I was hoping this would also toast, but it's just easier to use a toaster oven.

Very stylish. So much prettier than a regular microwave. I am still finding ways to use the different features-there's a lot of them. You need to be careful that the correct tray is in place depending on which mode you are cooking with. Hard to reach the back to clean and it doesn't clean up well. Although I like the way the door opens, it does make it harder to reach hot pans.

Nice Idea, But Proceed With Caution

We ordered this oven almost exactly two years ago. It arrived about a year later. Then, the contractor waited several months before installing it two months ago. Needless to say, we are well out of warranty. That's unfortunate because this thing is wonderful but BUGGY. Sometimes, the screen freezes. Yesterday, we had to use our breaker box to turn off the electricity to reset the oven. This is something that happens often. We've also had lots of issues with our CafÃ fridge, which, thankfully, went on the fritz while under warranty. (A technician has been to our house four times to try and fix the refrigerator. He was just here three days ago, so we'll see if this time, the fix sticks.) I love how CafÃ appliances look, and they work great when they work. But unfortunately, they're so computerized that they are full of errors and require rebooting. I like using this thing as both a microwave and an oven ... but there are definitely some kinks to work out. A manual reboot button would be a lifesaver.

Copy/paste this other review because we have the EXACT same issue. Please help!! "We love this when it works. We love the look, appearance and convenience. However, we™™ve been getting an error code (F696) and alarm at night that wakes us up and we have to go ™dismiss™ it. This started in the beginning and is still a problem. It also tells us to close the door before it starts but the door is closed. Sometimes the cook time jumps around too. We are also unable to connect it to Wi-Fi for some reason. Please advise. Thanks!"

This is actually my third Advantium oven and each time I've replaced one I've looked for alternatives that can do what it does and I never find it. This time I was thrilled to find that they've upgraded the interface with a sleek new touch interface that works very well. They've also upgraded the look with the Cafe line and I can finally get a white model again. The choice of handle accents is also wonderful and since we have a lot of other copper accents in our kitchen we went with the copper handle and it looks amazing. It also cooks amazingly well. We have a full-size convection oven but we use this for just about everything. In the past microwaves were only really useful for warming things up but this oven actually COOKS! Even simple things like bagel bites or chicken wings taste so much better using the speedcook settings. You can actually make things crispy and browned instead of just warm and soggy. It also has more interior spaced than most microwaves and is the only one we've found that can accommodate a 9X13 pan. The new interface is also a major improvement. The older interface with the analog knob wasn't bad but this is a big step forward. Not only is it much easier to use it's much easier to keep clean. My only minor complaint is that it can be sluggish at times... Hopefully they can speed it up in an update.

This microwave is #1 beautiful, #2 works like a microwave or an oven plus other fabulous features, and #3 steam cleans itself. What else could you ask for? DISAPPOINTED! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

I was so excited to use this oven and master all of its features. Unfortunately, the GE Cafe Advantium is the worst. We had 240V electrical installed after reading reviews that the 120V is not powerful enough. Even with the upgraded voltage, in a BRAND NEW home, the "precision cooking" mode causes things to break inside the oven. I've had it repaired twice after it broke. After the third time, we are still waiting on parts, and we've been almost two months with out a working microwave or oven in our home. GE "service" person came, without a helper to remove the oven, and without parts, and completely wasted our time. Why we haven't simply been offered a new oven is beyond me. Similar to another reviewer, we have the "waviness" on the front of our oven that looks horrible cosmetically. GE could make this right but has chosen instead to waste our time and money. I looked at all the positive reviews and thought "wow these negative reviews are just a fluke, or people who like to complain. I assure you, I was wrong. The minute something goes wrong with your GE product, their non-existent "customer service" kicks in and will bring you nothing but heart ache. STAY away from GE Cafe as beautiful as they are. Pick anything else!!

This oven is absolutely wonderful. As a microwave, it is fantastic I love the "sensing" mode as everything I've reheated has come out perfect in every way. I've used the rack and metal pan to cook 2 items at once. The item cooking on the rack came out perfect. The egg product on the metal pan turntable required an additional 15 minutes to be cooked properly. I'm not sure why, but will definitely be experimenting with the various functions it offers. Thus far, the microwave reheating feature is a hit with our family.

Very happy with the choice. The waiting was the hardest part but it was worth it. All the functions and more. Love the options on the cooking. Never thought Id use the wifi features but they are wonderful especially if you are using the defrost setting and you get the notifications. It really make cooking a decor statement.

Door started to ripple after 1 month of use

The door has a rippling pattern on it after 1 month of use that was not present when new. Customer service refuses to cover the issue as its a "cosmetic" issue and is not a "defect" in product or workmanship. $3400 for an advantium oven that now has a wavey front door on it, but that's "normal" and is cosmetic only, so they wont do anything to try to fix it.

I've had the 5:1 for about a month. I really like it. I mostly use it for the microwave feature. The Express30 is really nice. It would be nice if I didn't have to switch the glass plate for the metal plates to use the oven. If I didn't have to switch plates, I would have given it 5 stars.
